PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia football's
Scott Valentas was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after helping the Lions top Brown, 31-24, in overtime Saturday.
Valentas posted a game-high 13 tackles to go with two interceptions and three pass breakups. He also came up clutch in the overtime, posting a pair of tackles and knocking away a fourth down pass to seal the victory. The native of Wichita, Kansas, is third in the Ivy League with 85 tackles and ranks No. 6 in the NCAA in solo tackles.
