NEW YORK -- The Columbia men's swim and dive team will welcome league-rival Dartmouth to Percy Uris Natatorium on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 3:00 P.M. in the Lions' final dual meet of the season. Head Coach Jim Bolster's squad will recognize its seven seniors, Jesse Braun, Jax England, Albert Gwo, Jonas Kistorp, Joey Licht, Hayden Liu, and David Wang, for Senior Day.
Columbia will continue to operate under limited venue and spectator policies, as outlined on GoColumbiaLions.com.
The Lions come off a successful meet against Cornell on Friday, Jan. 28, which saw the Lions earn a decisive 167-133 victory. First-year Joshua Cho and sophomore Stanford Li powered Columbia from the pool, placing first in two events a piece. Seniors Gwo and Liu went one-two in the 50 free, clocking times of 20.97 and 21.24, respectively.
Junior diver Jonathan Suckow continued a season of dominance, winning the one and three meter boards with massive margins. Off the three meter, Suckow continued to cement his place in league history, becoming the first Ivy diver to successfully compete the 109C. Classmate Nick Leavell took second in both events as both Lions surpassed the 300-point mark.
Dartmouth enters Saturday off an impressive 232-91 victory over UMass at the the Big Green's Tate Ramsden Invitational. Led by senior Joe Moll, the host team swam for first in 17 of 18 events including sweeps of the 100 fly and 200 back. Moll touched the wall first 400 IM, 100 back, and 200 back while rookie Isaac Weigel won the 100 breast and 1,000 free.
