Recurve Takes Second at Nationals, Collins and Keane named All-Americans

Columbia archery wraps 2022 campaign at Collegiate Target Nationals.

Chula Vista, CA -- The Columbia archery team concluded its season at the 2022 USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals in Chila Vista, California. The Lions' recurve squad took second overall while senior Meghan Collins and junior Sachiko Keane collected All-American honors.

Collins, Dorothy Vassantachart, and Judith Gottlieb comprised Columbia's recurve team, shooting their way to the finals round ahead of UC Irvine, UC San Diego, the University of Pikeville, and Lindsey Wilson College.

Columbia's compound team (Keane, Hannah Kim, and Rachel Lee) fell just short of the final round, shooting a 219 in the competition's quarterfinal round.

All-American team selections were determined based on a combination of Indoor National and NOCC scores. Keane topped the compound squad with a total score of 19.453 while Collins ranked fifth of the recurve honorees (17.106).
