The Lions and Pride held scoreless for 40 minutes until junior
Annie Diaz-Silveira tallied her first goal of the season to put Columbia up 1-0. The goal came off assists by both Cohn and first-year
Charlyse Berry.
Backed by momentum, the Lions struck quickly in the second half. Three minutes into play, Cohn, a defender, recorded her first career tally off an assist from
Ania Prussak over the outstretched hand of Hofstra's keeper.
In goal,
Paige Nurkin played a complete game making two saves.
Columbia returns home Saturday, Sept. 24 for the first Ivy League contest of 2022. The Lions will face Cornell at 6:00 p.m. at Rocco B. Commisso Stadium.
