
Squash Prepares for Home-Away Ivy-Opening Weekend

Lions host Princeton Friday, travel to Penn Sunday
NEW YORK — The top-10-ranked Columbia men's and women's squash teams play their first two Ivy League matches this weekend. The Lions host Princeton Friday at 2 p.m., from the SL Green StreetSquash Center. Sunday, they'll travel to Philadelphia to take on Penn at 1 p.m.
For fans not in attendance, both of this weekend's matches will be live streamed. Fans can also track the action with live results courtesy of clublocker.com.

On the women's side, No. 8 Columbia (1-2) will send Farida Mohamed (1), Simmi Chan (2), Sarah Cao (3), Erica McGillicuddy (4), Elizabeth Lentz (5), Nourin Khalifa (6), Kiro Manoharan (7), Aleeza Khan (8) and Amal Izhar (9) into the top nine to face No. 4 Princeton. Mohamed and Chan are each 2-0 on the season and are each coming off three-game sweeps in their latest victories.
Last season, the Lions fell in a close contest at Princeton, 5-4. Mohamed, Chan and McGillicuddy were all victorious individually. Penn got the better of the Lions last season in New York, 7-2.
On the men's side, the ninth-ranked Lions (1-2) will line up with Harold Castiaux (1), Adam Goad (2), Chaitanya Shah (3), Franklyn Smith (4), Zach Nam (5), Rutvik Rau (6), Jacob Bulbulia (7), Sameer Saxena (8) and Ryan Chen (9) in the top nine to face third-ranked Princeton. Castiaux is coming off a three-game sweep, 11-4, 11-3, 11-5, as part of Columbia's 8-1 victory on Dec. 9 against Williams College. Goad is set to return to the lineup after missing that match. Shah comes in with a record of 2-1.
Columbia will be looking to avenge a pair of 8-1 losses from last season to each Ivy League foe.

The order of play is set every week by the College Squash Association. Week seven's (January 12 – January 18) order of play is as follows:
