
Columbia Set for Two SEC Showdowns in the Bahamas

Lions seek program’s first SEC win
NASSAU, Bahamas – The Columbia women's basketball team (2-2) goes up against a pair of SEC teams at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship, battling Georgia on Monday at 11 a.m., followed by Florida on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The games are taking place at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.

• The Lions will be looking for their first win over an opponent from the SEC in program history. They enter the tournament 0-5 all-time against the conference. Their most recent result came November 13, 2022, falling to Vanderbilt at home, 74-63. Columbia has never played Georgia or Florida.

• Abbey Hsu is the Ivy League's leading scorer at 21.3 points per game. Entering Baha Mar, she ranks top-30 in the NCAA in scoring (21.3) and minutes (36.6), and No. 12 in total field goals made (33). Hsu is also No. 2 in the Ivy League in blocks (1.5) and top-10 in steals (2.0).

• Hsu (21.3), Kitty Henderson (14.5) and Cecelia Collins (11.5) all rank top-15 in the Ivy League in scoring.

• Abbey Hsu went 10-for-17 from the field, marking her 10th career game with 10+ made field goals.
• The Blue Devils snapped Columbia's four-game winning streak against the ACC. Columbia had beaten Clemson, Boston College, Miami and Syracuse over the last two seasons.
• Columbia's four-point loss was its closest margin against a ranked team in program history. Previously, the closest margin was an 18-point loss to No. 24 Princeton in the 2022 Ivy League Championship Game.
BAHA MAR OPPONENTS
• Georgia (3-1) has won its last two games entering the Bahamas. They handled Mercer, 77-57, on Thursday and took down Georgia Southern earlier in the week, 85-59. The lone blemish on the Bulldogs' record so far this season came at Belmont, falling on the road in Nashville, 76-50. Three Bulldogs average double figures entering play, led by Javyn Nicholson's 14.5 points per game. The 6-2 forward is also the team's leading rebounder at 9.5 per contest. Georgia has had at least three players score in double figures in every game this season. De'Mauri Flournoy and Nicholson have been included in all four contributions.
• Florida (3-1) earned double-digit wins in each of its first three games of the season before falling in a close contest to No. 12 Florida State, 79-75, on Friday. Florida State ended the Gators' 25-home-game winning streak during non-conference competition. Four Gators average double figures, led by Aliyah Matharu's 19.3 points per game. She also averages a team-high 4.0 assists. Ra Shaya Kyle averages 15.3 points and a team-leading 9.3 rebounds. Leilani Correa (15.0) and Alberte Rimdald (11.0) also average double figures scoring,
