The pair led the way for the Lions at the Ivy League Championships
PRINCETON, N.J. – Following the completion of the Ivy League Championships last weekend, seniors Olivia Jubin and Karen Liu both received postseason All-Ivy accolades.
Liu was named First Team All-Ivy in the 200-Yard Butterfly, after winning a gold medal in the event at the Ivy League Championships. She posted a time of 1:55.99 to win the event, and also break the Columbia program record which she actually set earlier in the meet in the prelims.
In addition, Columbia's senior captain Olivia Jubin was recognized as part of the 2022-23 Academic All-Ivy Team. The freestyle swimmer also had a great Ivy Championship in her own right, including two fourth places and a fifth place finish in freestyle events. She was also part of the Lions'800-free relay squad that earned a bronze medal and broke the program record with a time of 7:10.44. The Alexandria, Virgina native is majoring in psychology and currently has a 3.48 GPA.
Columbia finished in fifth place at last weekend's Ivy League Championships, and a recap of all the best highlights and individual performances can be found HERE.
The Lions followed that up with a third place weekend at the ECAC Championships on Sunday. A recap of that event can be found HERE.
Columbia will close out its 2022-23 season with the NCAA Championships next week. They will begin on March 8 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
