The Lions are in their 37th season competing as a member of the Ivy League, officially joining prior to the start of the 1986-87 season. Prior to this season, Columbia was the only team in the league to have never won at least a share of the title.
COACH OF THE YEAR
• Megan Griffith '07CC was voted the 2022-23 Ivy League Coach of the Year. Griffith is the first Columbia women's basketball head coach to win the award. Now in her seventh year at the helm, the 2007 graduate has led a transformational turnaround for her alma mater. This year, her team finished tied atop the Ivy League standings for the first time and posted a program-best 23-4 overall regular season record. The campaign included resume-building wins at Miami, UMass, Memphis, Seton Hall and Princeton, all of which are among the top 65 in the NET rankings.
• Senior Kaitlyn Davis and junior Abbey Hsu were each unanimously voted First Team All-Ivy League by the league's coaches. The first-team honors make it back-to-back seasons for Davis. Hsu earned her third consecutive selection to one of the All-Ivy teams. The first-team honor this season is Hsu's first. Davis and Hsu are the first pair of Lions in program history to earn First Team All-Ivy honors in the same season.
• Senior Jaida Patrick was voted Second Team All-Ivy League, while sophomore Kitty Henderson earned Honorable Mention. The All-Ivy accolades were the first for both of them.
