CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – In their third meeting of the season, Harvard took a 4-3 win to notch its second win over Columbia in 2023.
Columbia won the previous meeting between the teams in the ECAC Championship match after Harvard won the season opener at the ITA Kickoff Classic event. The Lions are now 16-3 overall for the season and 3-1 in conference play with three Ivy League matches remaining on the schedule.
The Lions got the afternoon started by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots. Alex Kotzen and Roko Horvat followed that up with a 7-5 win over Henry Von Der Schulenburg and Alan Yim to clinch the doubles point.
Nicolas Kotzen and Max Westphal teamed up at the No. 2 spot. They trailed Ronan Jachuck and Steven Sun, 5-6 as the match went unfinished once the Lions clinched the doubles point.
