Lions crack national rankings for first time since 2013
NEW YORK — Columbia women's rowing is ranked No. 20 in the Pocock CRCA Coaches Poll, following the week five release Wednesday. The ranking marks the first time the program has achieved a national ranking since 2013.
At the Ivy League Invitational on April 16, the 1V8 finished ahead of No. 18 Oregon State and No. 17 USC. In the 3V8, Columbia finished in front of No. 17 USC and No. 16 Rutgers.
"I'm excited at what the group has produced so far, and they are working to find more speed," head coach Emerson Curry said.
The women's rowing team is back in action on Saturday, April 30 for the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts.
