The Lions kick things off on October 27 against Toronto at Uris
NEW YORK — The Columbia men's swimming & diving program and Head Coach Jim Bolster revealed the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season on Friday afternoon, with the campaign set to get underway on Friday, October 27 against Toronto at Uris Natatorium.
Columbia will look to build upon an incredibly successful 2022-23 season in which the Lions secured five individual Ivy League titles, while the team placed third at both the Big Al Invitational and ECAC Championships, and fourth at the Ivy League Championships.
After opening the season against Toronto, seven days later the Lions will host their first Ivy meet against Penn on November 3.
A week later the Lions will take their first road trip of the season to face off against Princeton. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in New Jersey on November 10. Then, the next day, Columbia will return to New York City for a meet against Yale.
The Lions will wrap up the first half of the regular season with a meet against Harvard at Uris Natatorium on Friday, November 17.
In its first championship-style meet of the season, Columbia will look to improve upon its third place finish at last year's event in the 2023 Big Al Invitational, which will once again be hosted by Princeton. The competition will take place from December 1-3.
After a brief hiatus during the holiday season, Columbia will return to the pool on January 13 for a meet against Brown in Rhode Island.
The following weekend the Lions are very busy, first taking on Army on Friday in West Point, before returning home on Saturday to host Cornell.
Columbia will close out the regular season with two home meets in back-to-back weekends. First, the Lions will take on Navy on January 27, followed by a matchup against Dartmouth on February 3.
This year's Ivy League Championships will be hosted by Harvard and take place from February 28-March 2. ECAC Championships will be the weekend before, running from February 23-25 in Annapolis, Maryland.
The 2024 Zone Diving Championships will be a familiar venue, taking place in New Jersey hosted by Princeton from March 11-16. For any Lions that qualify, the NCAA Championships will be held in Indianapolis and will begin on March 27.
