Sophia Strugnell led the way with a 4-1 overall record this weekend

PHILADELPHIA – The Columbia women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Cissie Leary Invite this weekend by winning all four of its singles matches.

The Lions got started in Philadelphia on Friday by winning three of four doubles matches and one singles match. The duo of Anna Zhang and Sophia Wang posted a 6-4 win over Delaware's Alina Vasilenk and Paulina Jurcowska and a 6-2 win against Temple's Thamara Kawaratani and Marianthi Christoforidout.

Sophia Strugnell and Rachele Rimondini picked up a win against Delaware's Santianna Chrsyopolou and Navya Vadlamudi, 6-3 Friday. Strugnell also recorded a singles win over Princeton's Tsehay Driscoll, 7-6(5), 4-6, 11-9.

Columbia wrapped up play at the Cissie Leary Invite on Saturday with a dominant display in singles action. Zhang, Wang, Rimondini and Strugnell each won their singles matches. Rimondini and Strugnell also paired up to earn a doubles win against South Florida's Ireland Simme and Loana Gonzalez, 7-6.

Strugnell led the team as she went 4-1 overall in her matches for the weekend. Zhang, Wang and Rimondini each finished with a 3-2 overall mark.
