CLEVELAND — Columbia football senior linebacker
Anthony Roussos was one of 52 student-athletes named to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Annual Academic All-Star team. Additionally, Roussos is one of 13 finalists for the FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship, which awards two student-athletes with $5,000.
A political science major from New Port Richey, Florida, Roussos was a first-team All-Ivy League selection after a breakout 2023 campaign. He was the second leading tackler in the Ivy League with 93 and his 5.7 solo tackles per game ranked No. 10 in FCS. Roussos posted double-figure tackles in five games, including a career-high 13 against Brown on Nov. 11.
The 52 individuals were selected from a pool of 104 applicants. Football players from all Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) institutions are eligible for the award. Each of the nominees were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate or graduate study and have been a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials. They must have reached their second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution. They also must have participated in 50 percent of the games played at their designated position.
A special Review Committee of FCS athletics directors was responsible for selecting the 2023 Academic All-Star Team and FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship finalists. This year's Review Committee consisted of:

Tom Michael, Eastern Illinois.
