Women’s Rowing Earns Hardware at Head of the Charles

Women's Champ 4+ captured the Linda Muri Trophy for the second consecutive year, along with the Hope Barnes Trophy for their first place finish

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. Columbia women's rowing wrapped up the 59th Head of the Charles Regatta over the weekend at Charles River, earning a first place finish in the Champ 4+ race.

"The squad had a good performance at Head of the Charles," head coach Emerson Curry said. "Our senior athletes are reaching a pre-elite level of rowing, and our younger athletes are elevating their skill and fitness with the guidance of the upperclassmen. Coxswains Chloe Deitz, Debolina Sen and Rebecca Yeung all steered direct courses. We are looking forward to some good training ahead."
 

The Women's Champ 4+(Chloe DeitzBrynn DittrichCharlotte O'TooleKatherine TaylorTalia Kochcaptured the Linda Muri Trophy for the second consecutive year, along with the Hope Barnes Trophy for their first place finish in the event.

The other Women's Champ 4+, (Debolina SenEmily KilroyIsa BessetteClara Cheng, and Emily Bukowski) placed 8th out 18th, re-qualifying the boat again for the first time. 

The Women's Club 4+ (Rebecca YeungJackie ZatsiorskyAddie LuceSofia BrauweilerShannon Breimer) took home a silver medal in their event to kick off a strong weekend of racing at the historic regatta.
