REIMS, France – 2024 NCAA Singles Champion Michael Zheng returns to the court Friday in France to represent Team USA at the 2024 Master'U BNP Paribas Championship.
Known as "The World Event of University Tennis," the Master'U BNP Paribas Championship is in its 17th year. The tournament will once again welcome eight nations for several days of high-level competition between many of the top-ranked student-athletes from both NCAA institutions and other university systems around the world. The 2024 edition will be played from November 29 – December 1 in Reims, France at an indoor facility in the city.
Zheng will be joined by Savannah Broadus (Pepperdine), Sebastian Gorzny (Texas), Amelia Honer (UCSB), Mary Stoiana (Texas A&M) and Gavin Young (Michigan). Broadus, Stoiana, and Young are all returners from the 2023 Master'U Team USA delegation that took home gold in France last year.

Following Zheng's win Sunday to claim the NCAA singles title, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Zheng as one of the qualifiers for the 2025-26 ATP Nex Gen Accelerator. Singles players that reached the quarterfinals of the 2024-25 NCAA Division I Men's Singles Championships in Waco automatically qualified for the program.
Zheng qualified for the ATP Next Gen Accelerator for the second straight year. Qualified players will now compete in the spring to determine if their Accelerator Spots at Challenger 50 and 75 tournaments will be for the main draw (for Top 10 ITA ranked players) or for qualifying (11-20). Zheng will be awarded main draw Accelerator Spots since he was the NCAA Singles Champion.
