The Lions will head back to Florida to play seven games over a stretch of four days starting Friday. Columbia will play Chattanooga and Stonehill Friday, Troy and Sacred Heart on Saturday, Bucknell and Siena on Sunday and Colgate on Monday to wrap up the trip to Madeira Beach. The Lions are off to a 1-4 start this season after earning a win over Rhode Island at the FAU Owl Classic to kickoff the spring two weeks ago.

Women's tennis is back in action this weekend with a road match against Charlotte. 28th-ranked Columbia will meet No. 64 Charlotte for a 1 p.m. first serve on Friday. Columbia sits at 10-2 overall this season. In their last time out, the Lions went 1-1 on the trip to Michigan. Columbia opened the weekend with a loss to No. 2 Michigan before bouncing back to defeat No. 70 Michigan State, 4-2. The Lions achieved a No. 25 ranking last week, but slipped back to No. 28 in this week's ITA rankings.
BASEBALL
The Lions begin spring break on the West Coast for five games. Columbia plays a four-game series from Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium, with two against the host Fresno State (8-3, 2-1) and two against No. 23 UC Irvine (10-0). Senior infielder
Jack Cooper is coming off a dominant performance last weekend against Marist. The Edwardsville, Illinois native was 9-for-12 (.750 BA) over the weekend with four home runs, seven runs scored, 15 RBIs, and 22 total bases in the Lions' three-game sweep of the Red Foxes. For the week nationally, he ranked first in RBIs, second in batting average and slugging percentage, tied for third in home runs, tied for fourth in total bases, and sixth in on-base percentage. He was named to Baseball America's NCAA Week 3 Standouts list as well. Columbia (3-3) wraps up the West Coast swing on Tuesday at Santa Clara (7-4).
LACROSSE
Coming off the biggest win of the season, the lacrosse team will hit the road for two games in the next six days. First up will be an Ivy League contest against the Cornell Big Red this Saturday, as the Lions seek their first Ivy League victory. Then, next Wednesday, Columbia will travel upstate to take on the Marist Red Foxes in a non-conference game in Assistant Coach
Tierney Larson's old stomping grounds in Poughkeepsie. Yesterday, the Lions took down Big East foe Villanova securing their biggest victory in third-year Head Coach
Anne Murray's tenure. This was Columbia's first win over Villanova in program history, and just the third win of all-time against a Big East opponent. Now 2-2 on the season, the Lions will look to ride the momentum of this win into the second third of the season.

MEN'S TENNIS
The men's tennis team is back in action for the first time since defeating No. 49 Northwestern, 4-0 on March 1. The Lions will head to California and will meet No. 31 UCLA on Monday and No. 51 Pepperdine on Wednesday to start the road trip. The Lions are 9-2 overall and have won their past three matches heading into the match against the Bruins. Columbia is ranked No. 6 in the latest ITA rankings. Columbia previously achieved a new program high ranking of No. 4 after competing at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The Lions held the No. 4 spot for two weeks before dropping back to the current spot at No. 6.

WOMEN'S GOLF
The women's golf team returns to action this Sunday-Tuesday when it takes on the field at the Tulane Classic. The three-day, 54-hole event will be held at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans. The Lions kicked off the spring season a month ago, Feb. 10-12, hosting the Columbia Classic down in Melbourne, Florida. Sophomore

Ava Zeng (+10) each earned a top-25 finish in that event. Tai's 14th-place finish marked the second top-20 of her career, while her 6-over 222 was a collegiate 54-hole best.

MEN'S GOLF
The men's golf team competes for the second straight week this coming Tuesday at Wednesday at the GCU Invitational. This event is a staple in the Lions' schedule, having competed in it every competition season since 2017. Last year, Columbia took sixth in the 16-team field, led by
Nathan Han's third-place performance of 10-under-par 203. This year's event will, once again, feature 16 teams, which includes the Lions, host Grand Canyon, Northern Colorado, Valparaiso, St. Thomas, Austin Peay, Omaha, Washington State, CSU Fullerton, Pacific, Creighton, Drake, Cal Baptist, UT Arlington and UMKC.
