NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey hosts LIU on Friday at 6 p.m. in its home opener before welcoming Bucknell on Sunday at 1 p.m. from Columbia Field Hockey Complex.

Last Time Out
Columbia dropped its season opener at UMass last Friday, 4-1. Nicole Campolattaro scored her first career goal in her collegiate debut and the first of the Lions' season with 5:03 left in the match.
Katie Wimmer made 11 saves on the day, while Mckenzie Bloom and Campolattaro each tallied two shots on goal. Columbia had seven shots total, with the four from Bloom and Campolattaro coming on goal.
About LIU
The Sharks (2-1) are coming off a 3-0 win in their home opener over Bellarmine last weekend. Gigi Ranoldo leads the team with two goals while goalkeeper Fleur Hofman has a 2.31 goals against average. Columbia is 3-0 all-time against LIU, with home wins in 2016, 2021, and 2022.
About Bucknell
Bucknell (1-3) enters the weekend coming off a 2-0 win at UMass-Lowell last Sunday. Four Bison players each have a goal and Lily Neilson leads the team with three points. Columbia is 4-8 all-time against the Bison, with the most recent meeting being a 4-3 loss in 2017 on the road.
