NEW YORK – The Columbia men's and women's squash teams defeated Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon at the SL Green Streetsquash Center to earn their first Ivy League victories of the season.

MEN'S RECAP
Arhan Chandra,
Yusuf Sheikh,
Zach Nam,
Imad Athar,
Varun Fuloria and Gonzalo De La Mora posted wins Sunday to help the men's squash team earn a 6-3 win over Dartmouth. The Lions got back on track after losing a tight contest to Harvard on Saturday afternoon. Sheikh and Fuloria won in just three games Sunday. Chandra battled through five games at the No. 1 position to earn the victory. Athar also fought through five games to pick up the win at the No. 5 spot.
"After a tough result yesterday, it was a good effort today to get back up physically and emotionally," Kenneth W. Torrey Head Coach of Squash
Chris Sachvie said. "We had some close matches that required a few players to dig deep in the fifth game. Early wins from
Imad Athar and
Arhan Chandra helped build a cushion.
Varun Fuloria and
Gonzalo de la Mora did not play yesterday and stepped up with big wins today with Gonzalo clinching the fifth win for the team. Captain
Zach Nam had a strong weekend and closed out the day with his second win of the weekend."
