Rowing Programs Announce 2025 Schedules

Lightweight gets underway March 29; Heavyweight and women’s crews open on April 5

NEW YORK — Columbia Director of Rowing and heavyweight head coach Tom Terhaar, lightweight head coach Nich Lee Parker, and women's head coach Emerson Curry have announced the 2025 schedules for each program.

Heavyweight rowing opens April 5 against Rutgers at Overpeck Park in the Collins Cup, which Columbia has won the last 18 seasons. On April 12, the Lions will race Penn and Princeton in the Childs Cup at Overpeck Park. Columbia meets Yale and Penn in the Blackwell Cup in Philadelphia on April 19. 

The Lions then travel to Hanover, N.H. for the Lake Morey Invite April 26-27 against Dartmouth. Columbia races against Navy on May 4 in Mercer County, N.J.

Lightweight rowing opens its 2025 season on March 29-30 at home at Overpeck Park for the National Collegiate Lightweight Invite vs. Princeton, Cornell, and Navy. On April 5, Columbia hosts Drexel, Harvard, and Georgetown.

This year's Dodge Cup against Yale and Penn will be held in Philadelphia on April 12. The Lions then travel to Oak Ridge, Tenn. for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Race on April 20-21. Columbia hosts Cornell and MIT on May 3 for the Geiger Cup before welcoming Dartmouth on May 4 for the Subin Cup.

On May 18, both the heavyweight and lightweight crews will race in the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass. The 2025 campaign for Columbia heavyweight and lightweight rowing wraps up May 30-June 2 at the IRA Championships in Camden, N.J.

Women's rowing starts the 2025 campaign with the Big 10/Ivy Duel on April 5-6. On April 12, Columbia heads to Boston for the Woodbury Cup against Northeastern.

The Lions then travel to Durham, N.C. for the Wheeler Invite on April 25-26. Columbia will race in the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass. on May 4. The Ivy League Championships in Princeton, N.J. take place on May 17-18.
