Women's Rowing Wraps Up Weekend with Races Against Brown, BU

The Lions raced five boats on Sunday at Overpeck Park
LEONIA, N.J. — Columbia women's rowing was in action on Sunday for racing against Brown and BU at Overpeck Park. Sunday's racing featured good conditions with a variable cross tailwind at 6-8 mph.
Columbia was edged in the 1V8 race by Brown, crossing the finish line less than a second after the Bears. The Lions' 1V8 clocked in with a time of 6:22.11 just a day after capturing their fourth straight Woodbury Cup victory over Northeastern.
Columbia's 3V8, 1V4, and 2V4 boats all earned second place finishes behind Brown. The Lions' 2V8 placed third in their race with a time of 6:38.51.
The Lions are back in action on Saturday, May 2 for the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass.
