BRANCH BROOK, N.J. — Columbia Cross Country dominated this weekend at the METS Championships hosted by NJIT in New Jersey. The women excelled in the event, claiming first place with a score of 44, just outpacing Seton Hall who finished with 46.
Meredith Wolfe led the pack and finished sixth overall with a personal best time of 17:51.00. Maggie Boler came in eighth place recording a career best time of 18:00.00, and was immediately followed by Caroline Schoen, Isabella Shertzer, and Grace Carrs with times of 18:08.00, 18:11.00 (PR), and 18:22.00, respectively.
On the men's side, the Lions finished in fifth place overall in the 8k with a score of 153. Ralph Brown finished 15th overall with a time of 25:33.00 to pace Columbia. Jacob Van Orden came in 31st with a personal best time of 25:57.00, followed immediately by Tyler Tubman who topped his career best with a time of 25:57.00. Nicholas Hayden also clocked his best time, 25:59.00, finishing 33rd. Senior Austin Rios-Colon also set a personal best time of 26:41.00 and finished 48th.

Next weekend, the Lions are set to make appearances at the IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships in the Bronx at VCP as well as the Princeton Invitational hosted by the Tigers in New Jersey.
