Edward Blaha Named NCAA All-Region

The women finished 10th while the men claimed 12th at East Regionals
HOPKINTON, N.H. — The Columbia cross country team concluded its 2025 season on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Northeast Regionals hosted by Boston College.
Edward Blaha was the star of the show, earning All-Region honors with a top-20 finish, leading the men's squad while Rory Clare led the women's pack.
This year's competition was held in Hopkinton, New Hampshire at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. The women's team finished 10th overall with 351 points while the men's team finished 12th overall with 370 points.
MEN'S 10K CHAMPIONSHIP
Blaha led the Lions with a standout run, clocking 30:01.7 to place 20th. Junior Quentin Ryan followed, clocking in at 30:52.0 for 71st, while sophomore Henry Koike-Sieira (31:03.6) and senior Brett Bishop (31:03.7) were right behind him, finishing 89th and 90th, respectively. Senior George Blaha rounded out Columbia's top-five with a time of 31:10.6, finishing in 100th place.
WOMEN'S 6K CHAMPIONSHIP
On the women's side, Clare led the way with a 38th-place finish and time of 20:49.4. She was followed closely by sophomore Olivia Murray, who ran the 6k in 20:57.8 which was good for 49th. First-year Seelah Kittlestrom continued her impressive rookie campaign with a 79th-place time of 21:20.3. Junior Leanna Johnston (21:27.1, 92nd) and first-year Dana Lehr (21:28.8, 95th) helped strengthen Columbia's scoring effort.

The Lions will now have the next few weeks off before beginning the indoor track and field campaign on December 6 with the TCNJ Indoor Open and BU Season Opener.
