Columbia defeated Washington, 63-60, last season for the program's first NCAA Tournament victory.
• Columbia was also on the bubble in 2023 but did not hear its name called on Selection Sunday. Instead, the Lions went to the WNIT, where they made a run all the way to the championship game against Kansas.
