The men take down the sixth-ranked Dragons, while the women come up short
NEW YORK – The Columbia men's and women's squash teams split with Drexel on Sunday afternoon at SL Green Streetsquash. On the men's side, the eight-ranked Lions soundly defeated No. 6 Drexel. The women battled, but came up short, falling to the ninth-ranked Dragons 8-1.
"Both the men's and women's matches were closer than the score lines show," Kenneth W. Torrey Head Coach of Squash Chris Sachvie said. "The women had some close matches that were decided by a few key points and credit to Drexel for playing those moments well. Our men's team had a great team performance - strong effort, great squash and we beat a really good team, so we're happy to go into a break with that result."
