No. 8 Men’s Tennis Returns Home to Face Tulsa, Penn State

Columbia plays Tulsa Friday and Penn State on Sunday
NEW YORK – The eighth-ranked Columbia men's tennis team returns home to Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center this weekend to host No. 46 Tulsa and No. 67 Penn State.
Columbia will kick off the weekend with a 6:30 p.m. match against Tulsa on Friday. The Lions will then play Penn State on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. to wrap up the weekend.

Action from the Milstein Family Tennis Center this weekend will be broadcast live through Columbia's stretch portal. Fans can also follow live scores online for both matches this weekend.
LIONS IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Columbia was represented well in the most recent ITA singles and doubles rankings released last week. Four Lions are ranked in singles, with three ranked inside the top 50, while three doubles pairs earned rankings.
Michael Zheng continues to sit at the top of the ITA Division I singles rankings after claiming the NCAA title in November. Nicolas Kotzen sits at No. 36 and Hugo Hashimoto follows at No. 50. Max Westphal joined the singles rankings at No. 116.
The duo of Zheng and Hashimoto earned the highest doubles ranking for the Lions at No. 20. Zheng and Kotzen came in at No. 48 and Kotzen and Westphal secured a No. 57 ranking.

Columbia returns to action for the first time since competing at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships earlier this month. The Lions came up short against No. 11 Stanford and No. 4 Ohio State in a couple of hard-fought battles. Columbia closed out the weekend with a dominant 4-1 win over No. 7 Duke to mark back-to-back seasons Columbia has defeated a top 10 opponent. Columbia is coming off an extremely tough slate of six straight matches against top 25 opponents since February 2. The Lions posted a 3-3 record in that span.
