
Women’s Tennis Falls Short to Notre Dame

Columbia moves to 3-2 overall this season
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's tennis team came up short to Notre Dame, 4-2 on Sunday inside the Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center.
Columbia drops to 3-2 overall this season after losing its first home match since 2023. The Lions now turn their attention to the ECAC Championships starting Friday in Philadelphia.
Notre Dame posted wins in the one and two doubles to start the match Sunday, allowing the Fighting Irish to secure a pivotal doubles point.
Notre Dame proceeded to post wins in the one, four and six singles matches to secure the 4-2 victory over Columbia.
Malak El Allami and Amber Yin earned singles victories for Columbia, but that was not enough to recover after losing the doubles point. El Allami defeated Carrie Beckman, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles. Yin posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Bianca Molnar in the No. 5 spot.
