Track & Field Finishes First Meet of Outdoor Season

Lions fare well at the Penn Challenge

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.  — The Columbia track & field team opened the outdoor portion of its schedule on Saturday, competing at the Penn Challenge at Franklin Field. 

Parker Kim had the Lions' top finish in the meet, taking third place in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 60.71m. Obiora Okeke and Anthony Colucci finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the event. 

Jada Mia Puryear had the top performance for the women, finishing fourth in the discus with a mark of 41.11m. 

Nathan West took seventh in the discus and eighth in the shot put.
