Men’s Golf Hosts Columbia Spring Invitational on Monday

Rolling Green Golf Club plays host to 12-team field
NEW YORK — The Columbia Spring Invitational is on tap for the men's golf team on Monday. The one-day, 36-hole event will take place at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
The competition will feature 12 teams and an estimated 72 individual competitors. Joining the Lions will be Dartmouth, Yale, Arkansas, Villanova, Lafayette, Monmouth, Saint Francis, Manhattan, Bryant, Rider and Merrimack. Rolling Green Golf Club is a par 70 that will be set to 6,789 yards.
Columbia will be represented by first-year Grant Lester, senior Wyatt McGovern, junior George Rubelsky, junior Darren Pang and sophomore Hunter Po in the team event. Senior William Sung, first-year Salil Khanduja and first-year Ryan Keyes will compete as individuals.
The Lions finished sixth in their last outing at the 16-team ECU Intercollegiate. Lester led the way finishing tied for 13th at 4-over for the tournament, including an opening-round 4-under 68. Rubelsky, McGovern and Pang all earned top 40s in the 100-player field.
The Columbia Spring Invitational is the second of three events the Lions host this academic year. They hosted their annual Autumn Invitational at Lake Placid Club in late September. Columbia will host the Roar-EE Invitational for a third straight season on April 19 at Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, New York.
