Track & Field Wraps Up Oscar Moore invitational

Daniela Quintero, Tess Darnell pick up wins
NEW YORK — The Columbia track & field team competed in the Oscar Moore Invitational this Saturday in Glassboro, N.J.
The Lions had a very good day, ending the meet with a myriad of top finishers on both the men's and women's teams.
The women earned a clean sweep in the 1500m, taking first through fifth. The first place finisher was Daniela Quintero with a time of 4:39.59. In second place was Kate Price with a time of 4:39.71. Naomi Toft came in 3rd with a time of 4:40.97.
The women's 4x100m relay took first with a time of 49.59. A big win for O'Connor, Norman, Mostyn, and Bennet.
Tess Darnell was another first place finisher for the ladies, winning the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.11.
On the men's side, Obiora Okeke once again had a fantastic meet, winning the men's discus throw with a mark of 49.82m and men's hammer throw with a mark of 62.64m.
The men had their own clean sweep in hammer throw. Parker Kim followed Okeke, placing second with a mark of 60.30m. Simon Skoumal finished third with a mark of 58.26m.
Jonah Aden and Nick Felix both also had top finishes, placing third in their respective events. Aden competed in the men's 1500m, finishing with a time of 4:07.85, while Felix finished the 200m with a time of 22.38.

ON DECK:
On April 18th, the Lions are back in action, competing in the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, VA and the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC. The Virginia Challenge will begin at 10:00 am, and the Wake Forest Invitational will begin at noon.
