Four Lions earn top-25 results

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — First-year Sarah Shao shot a final-round 74 and took solo third at the Navy Spring Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event wrapped up on Sunday at Naval Academy Golf Course.

Shao posted three birdies, three bogeys and a lone double-bogey at her closing last on Sunday. In finishing third, the rookie out of Grenn Brook, New Jersey earned her best collegiate finish, including her first top 10 and a 36-hole collegiate low (145). She was 1-over in the 36-hole event, finishing four shots off medalist Amy Han of Boston. Shao's weekend also included a career-low round of 1-under-par 71 on Saturday.

Columbia (+44) finished fifth on the team leaderboard, just three shots behind fourth-place Dartmouth and 10 shots behind third-place Penn. Boston (+18) won the team event.

First-year Christine Chang (+12) tied for 16th while first-year Emily Luo (+16) and junior Emma Shen (+16) finished tied for 23rd.
