Chang (-6) Breaks School Record, Finishes Runner-Up at Ivy League Championship

Columbia ties for third with top-five program 54-hole score
NAPLES, Fla. — Columbia's Christine Chang capped off an impressive rookie season with a record-breaking performance at the 2025 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship. The first-year finished the three-day, three-round tournament at 6-under-par 210, breaking Columbia's 54-hole scoring record on her way to a runner-up finish.
Chang posted three straight under-par rounds of 70, 71 and 69 at Royal Palm Golf Club. She broke Columbia's previous 54-hole scoring record of 3-under-par 213, which was set by Jacqueline Chulya in October of 2015. Chang's 210 is also Columbia's lowest 54 ever recorded at an Ivy League Championship, besting Michelle Piyapattra's 214 from the 2011 championship.
On Sunday, Chang shot a final-round 3-under-par 69, her lowest round of the season. She carded four birdies and one bogey on the front nine to make the turn at 3-under-par 33. She bogeyed the 179-yard, par-3 12th but finished in style with a birdie at the par-5 18th. Chang bested all but one player in the field – Harvard's Vanessa Zhang (-11) held off Chang for the individual championship.
As a top-five individual finisher, Chang was named to the All-Championship Team.
As a team, the Lions tied for third with a tournament total of 25-over-par 889 (292-297-300). It's their lowest 54-hole team score at any event since the 2021 Princeton Invitational (879) and ranks as the third-lowest 54-hole team score in program history.
Columbia's other top individual finishers included first-year Sarah Shao, who tied for 10th at 7-over-par 223 (71-77-75). First-year Emily Luo tied for 20th at 11-over-par 227 (76-72-79).
Princeton won the team title at 4-over-par 868, defeating second-place Harvard (+20) by 16 shots. The Lions tied for third with Dartmouth (+25). Penn and Yale (+28) tied for fifth.
The Ivy League Women's Golf Championship concludes Columbia's 2025 season.
