Women’s Rowing Completes Lake Wheeler Invite

The Lions finished third in the invite behind Virginia and Duke
RALEIGH, N.C. — Columbia women's rowing wrapped up the two-day Lake Wheeler Invite on Saturday, finishing in third place with 73 points.
The Lions earned eight first place finishes at the regatta. In round one, the 3V8 got Columbia on the board with a first place finish, posting a time of 6:48.049 and placing 15 seconds in front of Virginia. The V4 boat then narrowly edged Virginia for a victory and a time of 7:21.208.
The 3V8 boat once again started off Columbia with a win, this time in the second round. In round three, Columbia was victorious in five heats. The V8, 2V8, 3V8, V4, and 2V4 boats all picked up wins in the final rounds.

The Lions are back in action on Sunday, May 4 for the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass.
