Adams posted four goals, including two game-winners, in a 2-0 weekend for the Lions
Adams scored twice in Friday's win against Penn, starting with a key insurance goal early in the second half. She tacked on to the lead 5:23 into the third quarter when she took the ball from just inside midfield, carried it across the pitch and riffled a shot off the post and into the cage to make it 2-0. It was her fourth goal of the season.
Her strong play continued in the fourth quarter, when she added her second goal of the game with just under 10 minutes remaining. The performance marked Adams' third career multi-goal game.
On Sunday at Hofstra, Adams delivered again, scoring two goals in a 1:31 span in the fourth quarter to lift Columbia to a 2-1 road win at Cindy Lewis Stadium.
After 52 minutes of scoreless play, Adams broke through with 7:56 left in the fourth, poking in a loose ball near the cage to put Columbia in front. She struck again 1:31 later, finishing a centering pass from Sophie Lawrence to make it 2-0.
Adams has seven goals this season and now has four career multi-goal games after scoring twice in consecutive contests. With the weekend sweep, Columbia improved to 8-4 overall and 3-2 in Ivy League play and has secured a winning regular season record for the first time since 2017.
Columbia returns home this weekend for two matches at home: Harvard on Friday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m., and Rider on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. Sunday's game is Senior Day.
