Women's Swimming & Diving in Seventh After Day Two of Ivies

Ashley Hong notches the Lions' highest finish in the 200 IM
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Columbia women's swimming and diving team sits in seventh place after day two of the 2026 Ivy League Championships being held at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on the campus of Brown University.
Through seven events, the Lions have compiled 202 points. Princeton leads the competition with a score of 532. Harvard is in second place with 446.5 points. Brown resides in third, scoring 399.5 points.
DAY ONE
The Ivy League Championships began with the 200-medley and the 800-free relay.
Columbia's A relays both placed eighth, with the 200-medley squad of Shaelyn Shields, Ashley Hong, Ella Chan, and Sally Ma finishing a second away from seventh at 1:41.16.

DAY TWO
Ashley Hong had the Lions' top finish of the day, taking 11th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.10.
Sally Ma touched the wall in 13th in the 50 free with a time of 22.84.
Lindsay Orringer finished 14th in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:52.34.

ON DECK
Day three begins tomorrow with the 100 fly. Prelims start at 11 a.m. and finals take place at 6 p.m. every day.
Following the completion of the Ivy League Championships, the qualified divers will begin preparations for the NCAA Zone Diving competition on March 9.
