Lions Take 3rd at Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship

Formosa (+5), Rubelsky (+7) finish in the top 10
SPRINGFIELD, N.J. — The Columbia men's golf team earned third place at the 2026 Ivy League Men's Golf Championship. The three-day event concluded on Sunday at Baltusrol Golf Club.
The Lions shot their best team round of the tournament on Sunday of 2-over-par 290. They were led during the final round by senior George Rubelsky's 2-under-par 70, which included an eagle at the par-5 seventh. First year Alejandro Formosa and sophomore Ryan Keyes each turned in a 1-over 73, while first year Neil Kulkarni completed the counting scores with a 2-over 74.
Formosa polished off an impressive rookie campaign by finishing in solo seventh at 5-over for the championship (74-74-73). He ends the season with a team-best 73.72 stroke average. Senior George Rubelsky was solo eighth at 7-over for the championship and also posted a sub-74 stroke average for the season.
All five Lions finished in the top 20 individually. Neil Kulkarni (+9) was tied for 12th, senior Darren Pang (+13) finished 19th and Ryan Keyes (+14) finished 20th.
Columbia shot a tournament total of 30 over par. They were 14 shots better than fourth-place Yale (+44), with Dartmouth (+48) in fifth and Penn (+52) in sixth. Harvard (+10) won the team event by one shot over Princeton (+11).
The Ivy League Men's Golf Championship concludes Columbia's 2025-26 season.
