Haydn Brotschi, Men's 4x800 Named First Team All-Ivy

12 different Lions received All-Ivy accolades
PRINCETON, N.J. — Following the completion of the 2026 Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships on Sunday, student-athletes from the men's and women's teams were recognized with postseason All-Ivy accolades. Haydn Brotschi, Mia Hoskins, Edward Blaha, and both the men's and women's 4x800m relay squads garnered All-Ivy honors, while Jessica Thompson and Matt Gatune were recognized for their academic achievements.
Brotschi received First Team All-Ivy recognition after capturing the Ivy League title in the men's 400m with a blazing 45.20, setting a new program record while clocking the second-fastest time in the history of the Ivy outdoor championships.
Also earning a First Team All-Ivy honors was the men's 4x800m relay quartet of Nicholas Hayden, Justin Gottlieb, Gatune, and Jacob Van Orden, which claimed the conference crown in 7:21.61. They did so in record time, finishing as the third-fastest mark in the Ivy League Outdoor Heps history, and sixth fastest time in program history.
On the women's side, Caroline Schoen, Grace Carr, Meredith Wolfe, and Lucy Henkel secured a Second Team All-Ivy nod after placing second in the 4x800m relay with a time of 8:43.27.
Hoskins delivered one of the top performances of the championship, recording a personal-best and program-record mark of 56.99m in the women's hammer throw to finish runner-up and earn Second Team All-Ivy honors.
In the men's 10,000m, Edward Blaha posted a personal-best time of 29:35.56 to finish second overall and add eight points for the Lions en route to Second Team All-Ivy recognition.
In addition, Thompson and Gatune were named Academic All-Ivy.

With the regular season wrapped up, attention will turn towards NCAAs, beginning with the Outdoor Prelims. For qualified student-athletes, the competition will begin on Wednesday, May 27 at 3 p.m. in Lexington, Kentucky.
