Field Hockey Set for Conference Opener on Friday at Cornell; Hosts Quinnipiac on Sunday

The Lions will host Youth Day on Sunday afternoon
NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey opens Ivy League play on Friday at Cornell at 4 p.m. before welcoming Quinnipiac on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Columbia Field Hockey Complex in the Youth Day Match. Both matches will air live on ESPN+.

Friday's match at Cornell (1-4) can be watched live on ESPN+ and followed via live stats. Sunday's matchup vs. Quinnipiac (2-3) can be watched live on ESPN+ and followed via live stats.
Last Time Out
Columbia (3-1) erupted for a program-record nine goals in a dominant 9-0 win over LIU on Sunday afternoon at the Columbia Field Hockey Complex.
Izzy Kaczor tied a program single-game record with a career-high four goals and nine points, while Jacinta Solari Etcheberry's four assists set a program single-game record. Five different Lions found the back of the cage: Kaczor, Jacinta Solari Etcheberry, Mckenzie Bloom, Kate Kim, and Brooke Liddell. Eight of the nine goals were assisted.
Youth Day
All youth fans can stick around after Sunday's match and receive autographs from the players on posters.
Series History - Cornell
Columbia is 7-22 all-time against the Big Red and has split the last two meetings in the series. In last year's conference opener, Columbia fell to Cornell, 5-2, in New York City.
Series History - Quinnipiac
The Lions are 6-5 all-time against the Bobcats and were edged by Quinnipiac in last season's matchup, 3-2.
