Jacinta Solari Etcheberry Named Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week

The junior scored three goals over two matches
PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia field hockey junior Jacinta Solari Etcheberry has been named Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Solari Etcheberry scored all three of Columbia's goals over the weekend's two matches. On Friday in Columbia's Ivy League opener at Cornell, Solari Etcehberry opened the Lions' scoring with 11:11 left in third, firing home a direct shot off a penalty corner. Just under seven minutes later, Solari Etcheberry struck again to bring Columbia level at 2-2.
On Sunday just 52 seconds into the third quarter, Solari Etceheberry converted a deflection on a penalty corner opportunity to give the Lions a 1-0 lead against Quinnipiac. The junior from Santiago, Chile, tallied nine shots (four on goal) over Columbia's two matches last week.
Columbia (3-3, 0-1) travels to Providence, Rhode Island, for a road matchup at Brown (3-3, 0-1) on Friday at 3 p.m.
