Coleman Named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week

Coleman posted 127 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Lions’ win over Lafayette
PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia football first-year wide receiver Bryce Coleman has been named the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week following a standout performance in the Lions' 40-34 overtime victory over Lafayette in Columbia's home opener. He shared the honor with Penn quarterback Miles Teodecki.
Coleman delivered a breakout game, finishing with seven receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns. He led the Lions with 10 targets and recorded a game-long 45-yard reception.
The Los Angeles native made an immediate impact on Columbia's opening scoring drive, hauling in a key catch and later drawing a pass interference penalty in the end zone that moved the Lions to the doorstep. He capped the possession with a 2-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Coleman came through again with a 15-yard touchdown catch, pushing Columbia ahead by two scores.
Additionally, senior quarterback Chase Goodwin (25-39, 367 yards, two TDs), MD Awe (INT, three tackles, PBU) and Hugo Merry (2-2 FG) were named to the Honor Roll.
Columbia plays at Georgetown on Sept. 26 in Washington, D.C., for the Lou Little Cup. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
