Savannah Ward

Savannah Ward '22CC is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Columbia Archery staff. Ward was hired in January of 2023.

Ward was an All-American for the Columbia archery team in 2020. In addition to her All-American selection, Ward’s four years with the Lions included a Collegiate Target Regional championship. She also finished third that year at Indoor Nationals with a score of 1,107 and was a runner-up at the New Jersey State Collegiate Recurve Juniors. Ward served as team captain of the Lions in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
 
Prior to Columbia, Ward was the Recurve Champion in the Young Adult Female Division at the 2017 NFAA Indoor Nationals and took the silver medal overall. She helped the Lions place third at the 2018 Outdoor Nationals in the team event.
 
Outside of competition, Ward was part of the Columbia Lions Leadership Initiative. She attended workshops aimed at enhancing leadership knowledge and skills. Her internships as a student included positions with Brookhaven National Lab and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. She is also currently a geologist for HDR Engineering.
 
Ward graduated from Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in sustainable development and earth science in May of 2022.
