Remy Mason joined the Columbia field hockey coaching staff as an assistant in August 2021. This marks Mason’s first coaching position at the collegiate level after a professional playing career overseas.
Throughout high school, Mason trained and competed with the USMNT developmental program, East Coach High Performance (ECHP). He eventually went on to play professionally for HCAS in the Netherlands and was named captain of the men’s U21 squad in 2016 where he practiced with the top men’s team. Additionally, Mason helped coach the women’s U16 squad.
Mason returned to the United States in 2017 and enrolled at George Washington University. While there, he began playing with the DC Dragons, a club team based out of College Park, Maryland, and built coaching experience by working with a number of club teams, high schools and college summer camps over the next several years.
In 2021, Mason earned his bachelor’s degree in real estate finance with a minor in economics and development at GW’s School of Business.
