CAREER
 
Fifth-year senior who will graduate in February 2022 … In four-year, 32-game career as a linebacker, defensive end and special teams specialist, made 33 tackles (17 solo), 8.0 tackles for loss for 32 yards, 6.0 sacks for 29 yards and recovered two fumbles … Made position change from linebacker to defensive lineman following his sophomore season … Four-year letterman.

Earned NFF Hampshire Honor Society honors … Named a Second Team preseason All-Ivy League selection by Phil Steele Magazine … While battling injuries most of the season, saw action in five games as a senior defensive end … Finished season with six tackles (three solo), 1.0 tackle for loss for three yards, one sack for three yards in five games played … Registered lone sack on year for three yards and made two tackles vs. Brown (Nov. 13) … Finished with two tackles at Central Connecticut State (Oct. 9).

Born Cameren Christopher Carter on April 28, 1999 in Ridgewood, N.J. … Son of Hector Carter and Kesha Love … Has two sisters Arielle and Jeniece … Father Hector is a 1991 Columbia graduate who played wide receiver for the Lions from 1987-89 and was a starting wide receiver on Columbia’s only undefeated freshman team (6-0) … Father is currently a Lieutenant at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey … Cousin Patrick competed in track and field at the University of Miami … Played at same high school as Columbia All-Ivy League player/tight end Hamilton Garner ’14 and Hall of Famer George Rogers … Nickname is the “Professor” because he asks many questions, coaches up the younger players and uses high-level vocabulary … Committed to Columbia on February 2, 2017 … Chose Columbia because of the “opportunities that come with obtaining a high-class education as well as the chance to flip the football program and create a new legacy” … Chose Columbia over Harvard, Yale, Army West Point, Washington & Lee and William & Mary … Enrolled at Columbia College … Majors in Psychology.
