2010-11: Emerged as a key member of the backstroke and freestyle contingents, scoring major points for Columbia at the 2011 Ivy League Championships … earned first team All Ivy League honors as a member of the Ivy League Championship 400 free relay … earned second team All-Ivy League as a part of the 200 free relay that placed second … part of the 800 free relay squad that finished third overall … qualified for two different championship finals in his sophomore season, the 200 back (7th – 1:49.17) and the 100 back (8th – 50.64) … also qualified for the consolation finals of the 200 IM, finishing sixth in his heat and 14th overall with a time of 1:52.15. 

2009-10: Earned second team All-Ivy League honors in the 200 free relay (second – 1:21.55) … member of the 400 free relay that finished third, and the 800 relay that came in fifth overall ... qualified for the championship finals of the 100 back at the 2010 Ivy League championships, coming in 8th in 51.13 … also scored points for Columbia in the 200 back (11th – 1:49.83) and the 200 IM (23rd – 1:53.16).

At Downingtown West: Earned four varsity letters in swimming … team captain his senior year.

Personal: Son of Nancy and Rick Dougherty … born 6/18/91 … mother, Nancy, played basketball and field hockey at EMU … father, Rick, swam at Kutztown University … majoring in Civic Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
