Patrick Gazzini joined the Columbia track & field coaching staff in the fall of 2009 as an assistant coach, and will focus on the sprints and hurdles group.
Gazzini, who graduated from Villanova, is a former BIG EAST runner-up in the 400m hurdles and an NCAA Regional qualifier in the same event. A native New Yorker, Gazzini was also a New York State champion in the 400m hurdles and a multiple section and conference champion in his time at Somers High School in Westchester.
Gazzini has a BA in biology from Villanova and a master’s degree in health and human performance from McNeese State. He has worked as a rehabilitation technician at Sports Physical Therapy of New York, and as a graduate assistant at McNeese State, where he headed the sprints and hurdles program on an interim basis.
