Women's Tennis Defeats Texas State, 4-3

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS - Columbia used wins at the heart of the lineup to clinch a 4-3 victory over Texas State in San Marcos, Texas.
The Lions dropped all three doubles matches, giving the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead. Milena Kachar and Kara Worsley lost at #1 doubles, 8-6, while Marlena Hall and Nina Suda lost at #2 singles by the same score. Sydney Murray and Eunice Chao lost at #3 doubles, 8-4.
Kachar lost a tough match at #1, 7-5, 2-6, 7-6, but Angela Hendry picked up the Lions' first point at #2 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Murray won at #3, 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 and fellow
first-year Lauren Shearer won at #4, 6-3, 6-0. Molly Condit dropped a tough three-set match at #5 singles, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
Suda added a point at #6 singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win.
The Lions are now 6-3 on the season.
