
Chard-Yaron, Pultz Named to Jewish Sports Review All-America Teams

A four-year starter for Columbia, Chard-Yaron capped her career with a record-setting senior season. Splitting time at pitcher and at first base, Chard-Yaron batted a team-high .343 during the 2006 season, including a .370 clip in Ivy League action. She ultimately set the school record for base hits in a season (57) and also threw the first seven-inning no-hitter in Columbia history in a 3-0 win against Fairfield on April 2. For her efforts, Chard-Yaron was named first team All-Ivy League in May.
Pultz fired home 17 goals during the 2006 season which saw Columbia set a school-record with eight wins and a Columbia single-game record with 21 goals against Lehigh on April 16. The midfielder also tallied six assists and scooped 21 groundballs while starting all 16 games for the Lions in 2006.
