Cross Country and Track and Field Announces Class of 2011

NEW YORK -- Columbia Cross Country and Track and Field have added 34 newcomers, including 20 female and 14 male student-athletes to the teams for 2007, Willy Wood, Director and Head Coach of Columbia's enitre program, announced. These individuals in the class of 2011 represent 19 states from across the country.
Four of the student-athletes are from New Jersey, while three are natives of California, Massachusetts and New York. Georgia, New Hampshire and Virginia provided two each.
"I am very excited by the potential of our incoming first-years," Wood stated. "Seemingly, our staff has brought in a class filled with great quality and depth. I am confident this incoming group has the collective ability to not only continue our rich tradition of success, but also to build upon it."
