
Softball Preps for Rebel Spring Games

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The Columbia softball team returns to the Sunshine State of Florida for a week-long trip to the Rebel Spring Games. The Lions will play 10 games during the six-game stretch beginning on Thursday, Mar. 10 against Bryant at 5 p.m.
Columbia began the season at the Under Armour Invitational in Tampa, Fla., last weekend. Seniors Karen Tulig and Anne Marie Skylis led the offense for the Lions, each hitting .385 over five contests. Tulig also added three doubles and a pair of RBIs.
In the circle, senior Maggie Johnson was brilliant all weekend, appearing in three games and garnering a 1.05 ERA over 20.0 innings pitched. Opponents hit just .213 against Johnson and scored only three earned runs.
