
Egly, Kanemaru Named To Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team

TUSCON, Ariz. - Pitcher Harrisen Egly and shortstop Randell Kanemaru both earned a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team, announced today. The selections made by Collegiate Baseball newspaper feature a wealth of talent from throughout the country.
The honor for the pair of first-year's comes after the Lions won their third straight Ivy League title and finished the season 34-17 overall, including a 3-2 mark in the Coral Gables NCAA Regional.
Egly was a second team All-Ivy League selection, going 4-1 with a 3.41 ERA. The 6-4 righty from Edina, Minnesota struck out 17 in 29 innings of work in his first season with the Lions. Egly is one of 18 relief pitchers/closers to be named on the Louisville Slugger list.
Kanemaru became the regular at shortstop in his first season, tallying three homeruns, six doubles and 25 RBI while putting up a .296 average. The Santa Ana, California, native was one of four first-year shortstops to earn the honor.
