
Milstein, Ikwuazom Named October Athletes of the Month

NEW YORK - Football place-kicker Oren Milstein and volleyball's Chichi Ikwuazom have been named Columbia's Student-Athletes of the Month for October.
Milstein kicked two-game winning field goals for the Lions at Wagner and against Dartmouth on Homecoming. For his efforts, he was named Ivy League Special Teams and Rookie of the Week twice after his clutch performances. Milstein went 5-for-5 against the Seawawks, setting a school record for field goals made
Ikwuazom averaged 3.32 kills to go with a .417 attack percentage. Defensively, the first-year posted 1.43 blocks per set. Ikwuazom currently ranks No. 6 in the nation in hitting percentage (.422) and leads the Ivy League in blocks per set (1.43). She led Columbia in kills and blocks in the final five matches of the month, including a 21-kill performance in a sweep over Dartmouth. Ikwuazom was also named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on October 24.
